The mobile phone field is optional. The SMS opt-in checkbox is unchecked by default in the live form and only becomes enabled when a phone number is entered. SMS opt-in status is persisted alongside the prospect record with a timestamp for TCPA + carrier audit trail. See the full handling in our Messaging Policy.
