Messaging Policy

What this covers

This policy applies to SMS text messages we send from our verified toll-free number using Twilio. It explains how we collect opt-in, what kinds of messages we send, how to stop receiving them, and how often you can expect to hear from us.

How you opt in

You can opt in to SMS in two ways:

  • Web form opt-in. When you claim your site audit at authoritize.ai/audit, you may provide your phone number and check the SMS opt-in box. The box is unchecked by default. We do not send SMS to phone numbers submitted without that box checked.
  • Reply-based opt-in. If you reply to any email we send you (e.g., your audit delivery email), we may follow up by SMS using the phone number on your audit submission, provided you previously checked the opt-in box at audit time. Replying to email is not, by itself, an SMS opt-in.

What we send

SMS from Authoritize falls into a small number of categories:

  • Confirmation that your audit report is ready, with the secure link.
  • Reminders for calls or meetings you have scheduled with us.
  • Brief follow-ups to email conversations you are already engaged in.
  • Onboarding milestones once you become a customer (e.g., your Slack channel is live, your first article is published).

We do not send promotional broadcasts, marketing offers, or unsolicited sales messages by SMS.

Frequency

You should expect roughly 2-4 messages per month while you are actively engaged with us, fewer when you are not. Frequency varies by your interactions.

How to stop receiving SMS

Reply STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to any message and we will stop sending SMS to that number immediately. Reply HELP for contact information.

Opting out of SMS does not opt you out of email. To stop email, use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any Authoritize email or contact [email protected].

Carrier disclaimer

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. We use Twilio as our SMS service provider. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

Phone numbers and SMS opt-in status are stored alongside your audit submission. We do not share phone numbers with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not sell phone numbers. See our Privacy Policy for the full data-handling story.
