What the free tier is

Authoritize (Spear and Clover LLC dba Authoritize.ai) periodically runs an automated screening of your website's public pages against wording patterns that FDA warning letters and FTC enforcement actions have targeted, and emails the results to the address you enrolled with. You may display the "Compliance Monitored" seal while enrolled.

What it is not

The scan is automated pattern screening — not legal advice, not medical advice, not a compliance review by a professional, and not a certification, endorsement, or guarantee of anything. We do not determine or certify that your site is — or is not — legally compliant. We scan, and we flag wording for your review; what to do about a finding is your decision, ideally with your own counsel. The screen can miss real problems and can flag text that is perfectly appropriate in context. The seal means "this site is monitored"; it does not mean "this site is compliant." You are responsible for your own content and its legal compliance.

Emails

By enrolling you agree to receive automated service emails for this site: verification instructions, a welcome email, monthly scan results when new findings appear, and service notices. Every email includes links to pause monitoring, stop it entirely, or change the address — no account or password exists.

The seal license

While enrolled and in good standing you have a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to display the seal on the enrolled site, unmodified and linking to your Authoritize status page. The seal image is served by us and reflects live monitoring state. Either side can end monitoring at any time; when monitoring ends the seal renders an inactive state and you should remove the embed. We may revoke the seal or un-enroll any site at our discretion (for example, misuse of the seal or content that abuses the service).

What we collect

The domain and contact details you submit, the public pages we fetch when scanning (we fetch like a normal web crawler — no logins, no patient data), scan findings, and basic delivery/engagement data for our emails. Details in our privacy policy. If someone loads the seal image on your site, their browser requests it from our servers like any embedded image.

Limits and changes

Free-tier scans are capped (currently 50 pages per site, monthly cadence, one site per contact). The service is provided "as is", without warranties; to the maximum extent permitted by law our total liability for the free tier is $0. We may change or discontinue the free tier at any time; if we do, the seal degrades gracefully and we'll email you.
